About me.
Intro
I love the art & science of production and have continued to learn more about both for the past 30 years. I’m equally comfortable working with a team and operating on my own, even on projects typically requiring at least 3 people. I bring a unique combination of skills, experience, gear and passion to every project.
My Journey
I started recording my band in high school with an analog tape machine and added digital live recordings in college. I had a recording studio & was the live sound engineer for a cover band for several years before I added a GoPro to my live jazz recordings.
Seeing video with my audio was a game changer, and I quickly added more cameras, started multi-cam editing, and made short documentaries for local charities. That led to a job at a production house in Dallas, where I worked on music videos, commercials for national brands, short films, documentaries and projects with one of the country’s largest ad agencies.
Constant Innovation
I’m a restless learner, always gaining new skills, learning software and experimenting with the latest tech. When I heard about early virtual reality headsets in 2015, I immediately started producing 360 video with spatial audio. I joined early pioneers Condition One VR as an editor & audio engineer, later becoming the director of post-production. I recorded in challenging environments like the Amazon rainforest and even during a hurricane.
I recently added Artificial Intelligence tools into the production process for a mental health VR startup, using AI for art, sound, music & coding in DaVinci Resolve.
